Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix Recalled

This is just getting ridiculous. Just a few days ago I was reading about a Honduran canteloupe recall due to salmanilla and today I find this artical about Aunt Jemima pancake and waffle mix. I don't remember things being recalled like this before about five years ago. In the last few years, it's been lettuce, spinach, catfood, and many other products. What is going on? Here's the article about Aunt Jemima:

Quaker Oats recalled some of its popular Aunt Jemima pancake mixes because
of the risk of illness from salmonella.

The recall includes 1,000 cases in 17 states containing Aunt Jemima Pancake
and Waffle Mix.
"There is a health risk only if consumed raw or if the
product is undercooked," the company said on its Web site. "The vast majority"
of the recalled boxes have "likely not been placed on store shelves."

"Approximately 98 percent of the product is within our control. The 2
percent of product, which is outside of our control, was shipped to a limited
number of retail and mass merchandisers," Quaker Oats said.

So far, no illnesses have been linked to the recall and the company
said that no other products had been affected.

What Consumers Should Do
Three varieties of the mixes
are affected: Aunt Jemima Pancake and Waffle Mix: Original, Original Complete
and Buttermilk Complete.

Aunt Jemima said the products are packaged in two-pound and five-pound
boxes with any of the following 10-digit UPCs: 30000 43272, 30000 05040, 30000
05070 and 30000 05300.

The recalled products all have Best Before Dates between Feb. 8, 2009
and Feb. 16, 2009.

  2. What does that have to do with the topic of this post, Magnus & Matthew? Looks to me like you are just spamming.
